Alexander Wright's new play tells the story of one bright eyed boys startled awakening to the harsh realities of adulthood. Inspired by the life of Peter Pan author, J.M. Barrie, The Boy James invites its audience to explore the imagination of a young boy as he is betrayed by those closest to him. At times a beautifully childish game of lets pretend and at others a violent realisation of the grown up world, this is a play that will touch the core of any adult who has ever lamented the loss of their own Neverland. A truly intimate experience that allows its visitors to know the password to a strictly secret world a safe haven where they can while away their time and get in touch with inner child. But as the tick tock of the clock goes on, they too will have to face the inevitable voyage from innocence to experience.
